Recently got duped on a Surefire Counterfeit. I didn't even know this was a thing! Got it from a local passing it off as real.
Well, instead of sulking about it, I wanted to make a video showing how to identify the fake and the differences in light at night with a real X300U (600 Lumen) vs. the counterfeit which from the best I can tell is supposedly 500 lumen.
The genuine Surefire Tailcap actually mounts up and works perfectly as well, so the clone seems to be fairly accurate in quite a few different ways.
Anyway, hopefully no one else runs in to this same problem.

Took it to the range yesterday, fired 200 rounds without an issue.
