On the studio preamp, the volume sometimes drops while I have my guitar volume down(not playing) but returns 2 seconds after I start playing and stays normal as long as Im playing. The drop is not major but its there.
I unplugged the guitar and turned the gain up to make the hiss more audible. After a few minutes it did it again so I plugged back up and played. The volume returned.
I done the same for the power amp. I turned the pre off and maxed the volumes to get some audible hiss. The hiss stayed consistant.
Preamp tubes is the only thing Ive not tried but I do have some ordered.
Anyways, considering the clues, got any ideas?
