My Marshall 2x12 cab has a total impedance of 8ohms in mono and 2x16 in stereo.

The 2:90 can be run at a 1 step mismatch safely (8ohm output into 16ohm cab), but I just want to check if you can run a "stereo mismatch" - both 8ohm outputs into each 16 ohm speaker. I'm thinking "Yes since the 2:90 has two separate channels", but I still want to confirm just to be sure.

The other thing is that the speakers in my cab are 75W each... but that shouldn't be a problem if I play at low levels (always under 8:30), right?

I run the two 8ohm outs of my 50/50 into either a Peavey 212JS with 16ohm/each Celestion V30s or into a Mesa Stiletto 4x12 with a stereo side load of 16ohms....no problems at all
Lower impedance out > higher impedance speaker = safe mismatch

No pb for the "stereo mismatch". The two channels are independant: each one has his output tubes, output tranny, so it's the same as doing a only one channel mismatch.
