Got a speaker question for you all... (actually a couple questions).......
I'm going to respeaker my 4x10 cabinet.
8 ohm speakers.........question is, what ohmage
speaks should I get for a Mark IV. I don't want to
blow them up but on the other hand, I don't mind if
they break up a little.
Question #2: I plan to mix and match them a little.
Is it ok to mismatch the power ratings on them?
Say, put in a couple of 50 watters with a pair of 30 watters or
something like that? Or maybe even use all 4 completely different
speakers? Any problem with doing something like that?
What speakers do you all recommend as well. I like the sound of
Fender Bassman amps and Super Reverbs and such. Thanks for
any advice and info in advance.

You are kinda all over the place? Personally I would not mix speakers randomly especially 4 different speakers. Don’t get me wrong I use to own a Boogie cabinet with EV’s on the bottom and Black Shadows on the top (you can do it)
But do you have speakers in mind?
And although you are concerned about wattage (which is reasonable) be more concerned with the ohm’s of the speakers and how they are wired, you can do damage to the head

No, obviously I'm hip to the ohmage stuff. 4 8 ohm speakers
wired for 8 ohms. No problem there. I'm just going to buy and
trade around to get 4 of them so they might not all be the same.
Right now I've got 2 16 ohm 10's in there wired for 8 ohms and
I want to replace them with 4x10's (long story.....stupid Peavey
cab wired with 16 ohm speakers that sound better run 2 at a time
for an output of 8 ohms)..............
