I've got an older Dual with the designation on the speaker outputs "8-16 , 8-16 , 4 , 4"
Are the jacks that say 8-16 parallel jacks with each other or with the 4-ohm jacks? or do they function as independent speaker outputs?

I've got an 8-ohm cab and a 16-ohm cab, so I know that I could go out of the parallel 4-ohm jacks without a problem (safe mismatch). But my question remains whether
(A) I could go out of the 8-16-ohm jacks (if they are isolated) with both cabinets or
(B) if I could go out of one of the 8-16-ohm jacks with 16-ohm cabinet and out of one of the 4-ohm jacks with the 8-ohm cabinet (if all the jacks are parallel) for running the amp hotter or colder.

Please advise.
Thanks!!

Okay, I'm gathering that (A) is a bad idea regardless.

If I go for alternative (B) what would be the effect. Let me give you a couple of other parameters. The 16-ohm load is a 4x12" 300-watt rated cabinet. The 8-ohm load is a 2x12" 140-watt rated cabinet. I want to put a mic on the 2x12" cabinet. What is the effect on the amp and volume-wise to the 2x12" by doing it this way?

It has two 4ohm outputs and two 8ohm outputs. The taps are all parallel, just like every other non-stereo amp out there.

Plug the 8ohm cab into the 4ohm jack and the 16ohm cab into the 8ohm jack.
