After being without a Mesa Amp for some years, I bought myself a 2nd hand Roadking II head (from 2006). Played it for an hour now and could not find a bad tone...I have 2 small questions however, that I could not find answers for searching this board:
1. I believe there is a Roadking II version 1 and 2. How can I see which one I have and what is the difference?
2. Is there a place where people exchange settings for the Roadking? (I used to own a Triaxis and remember there was this forum to exchange presets)
Thanks,
Ed

Just look on the front and see if it says II as part of the Roadking logo. If it doesn't it's a 1.

Thanks for the comments. I know it is a Roadking II, the logo says indeed. I thought that of the Roadking II, there was also a version 1 and 2 (but perhaps I am mistaken).

Oops, I didn't read your post too clearly. You could always call/email Mesa with the serial number and they could tell you.

There is two versions, goto website below which is mesa's and you will see the two different manuals.

the only difference AFAIK is the v1 has an ext trigger switch, and v2 has a tuner output.

Any luck finding good sites?

I found those:

Let me know if you find something worth trying.
I am after Metallica, early Iron Maiden, Megadeth, BLS etc.
