Slave Out or Effect Loop Send?

I was wondering if the slave out on the Mesa Single Rectifier sends the signal after the effects loop? If I'm using the effect loop for pedals and want the effects to carryover to the other amp head that I'm just using for the power amp, should I use the slave out or just use the second output of my last pedal to go to the return loop of my other head?
