Ever since Ebay has instated their no negative feedback for sellers, ("buyer protection") I have been getting screwed left and right!! I have had 3 out of my last 5 auctions go unpaid. The bidder always swoops in at the last second wins the auction and then just disappears. Will not respond to emails or anything, I just get tied up in the non-paying bidder process and waste 3 weeks of my life to get it relisted. Just today a guy sent me some long convoluted email about how I have been difficult to work with and have not been accommodating to his emails. Interesting, as this has been the first I have heard from this guy! I have been using Ebay for the last 7 years with perfect feedback and never had an issue. Just needed to vent a little, but seriously, this is getting ridiculous.

You are right it is BS!!!
I have used eBay for 8-9 years myself mostly as a buyer. But there was a time around 7 years ago when I had a clearance sale with guitar gear (big ticket items). All and all everything went pretty dam smooth.

After the first of the year there are some more music things I might want to part with stomp boxes and so on nothing all that major. But the thought of putting them on eBay is really not sitting well with me. MY next door neighbor has a sports memorabilia business he has a store front but does allot on eBay. But when they invoked that little no negative feedback from sellers the nightmare began just as you have already said.

But my neighbor as of right now is really stuck, if he can dump using eBay he would in a second he has perused other avenues but they don't get the viewing that eBay gets.

HOPEFULLY someday that will change

Right now in particular... EVERYTHING SUCKS!.. especially for eBay sellers. :D j/k, there are some seriously f.ed up mothers out there right now. They all want to buy, but they ain't got no money.

I really can't stand fleabay in general. There is way too much ******** going on there. I'll use it when i have to like buying or selling something there is no local market for, but otherwise i'll just stick to my local classifieds even if it means paying a bit more.

I just sold a few things on there recently and fortunately i didn't have any problems with buyers but the new Paypal policy that lets them hold onto my money for 21 days because i don't have gobs of feedback is a total crock. They claim they do it under the guise of 'buyer protection' but i think it's just a cash grab to let them bank interest on my money for the better part of a month.

Then they charge a fee. Then ebay takes it's large cut.

Yeah, there isn't really a market in eastern Washington, so I find my self on ebay most of the time. There are a few little shops around but guitar center is usually the best bet (pretty sad)- that's a whole other rant in itself. I lived in Portland, OR for a while and I had some decent interactions as far as gear goes there.
