I bought one off Ebay on impulse. Saw it for a good price and it looks real clean so I pulled the trigger on the BIN button. I'm planning to run it through the power amp section of my RKII and then my Carvin Legacy. If I dig it, I'll probably look for a used 50/50, 295 or 395. If not, I'll just put it back on Ebay.

More later.

I ran it through my Legacy's power section today through a 2x12/closed/V30 cab and found it to be harsh in the Lead Channel. I think it needs new tubes and I KNOW I probably didn't have it set very well.

For instance, I notice that the volume on the Legacy no longer did anything. I suppose that's the way it's supposed to work when you run a pre-amp into another amps effects return. But I don't think I had a good combination of Volume, Master and Lead Master.

It did have alot of low end.

Any suggestions or should I really be running this through it's own power amp?

Thanks.

Dave
