OK guys I've had my rectifier for about 18 months now. I've had a line 6 pod for gosh 5 years maybe more. It's one of the original pods so its before even the 2.0 came out. I thought I couldn't use it before but after flipping through my manual I've discovered the FX Loop (I know whats my problem right?). I always tried to go directly into the amp before as a normal, pedals then guitar then amp line. Yeah that sounds like crap.

How would I do this through the effects look. Cuz the pod also sends clean tones or distorted tones along with whichever effect your trying to create.

Whats your takes on how and if I should try to even set this stuff up like that?

Thanks!

If you used it in front, id just use it for some effects, and as a boost. Otherwise youre trying to stack preamps which doesnt sound great, unless you set your amp to a very clean neutral setting, but that can still sound a bit off. As far as I know you cant bypass the Pods modelling. And set the A.I.R to amp if its gonna be used in front of an amp.

You can bypass the amps preamp and run your pod into your fxloop though. Though now the problem is that some effects sound a lot better before the preamp, and some sound best after the preamp.
Just plug direct into the pod, and then the out will go into the return of the fxloop. May have to set the levels a bit on the pod.

The best way to go would be with the 4CM, but youd have to upgrade products to pull that off. :)

i am not familar with the line 6 pod, but if you can seperate its preamp from its fx section, you should be able to run it thru the fx loop. you do not need the line 6 preamp section.
go out from your line 6 to return on your amp. send from your amp to return on the the line 6. remember turn off your line 6 preamp section or bypass it. you only need the fx section as your dr will be your preamp.
adjust your send and return levels as needed. remember the fx loop on the dr are wired parallel and not in series. which means it operates like a mixing console fx section.
let me know how that works.
