I just got an MXR 10 band EQ to be used as a solo boost in the effects loop of my Tremoverb.
I tried it last night at bedroom volume and it sounded great from what I could hear, but I couldn't try it at band volumes at that time of night.
That was with the send level at 12 o clock and the mix level at its maximum position.
I keep reading that the parallel loop can cause strange phasing issues with some effects - would EQ be one of them?

You might get some clipping if you push some of settings on the pedal too high, at least that's how it was on my Single Rec. It would clip if I set the gain or bass too high on the pedal.

a parallel loop modded to series is still not 100% series. Personally I think the parallel loops work better with stomp boxes anyway. I dont know why but ive had better results that way

you could mod to serial but you will still have a bit signal bleeding in the amps fx-loop.
most time you hear this is while using a volume pedal in the fx-chain. you turn it down all the way but you can still hear some signal coming thru.
this is normal, if your parallel loop is turned to 100% wet, you should have the same results as with the mod.

if you play your amp in a band with a drummer, you will not hear that bleeding anymore....but at bedroom level you will hear it - and maybe you get some phasing issues at lowest output levels.
i did two different serial mods with my 3 channel dual recto and returned to the parallel loop in between the two different mods....i couldn´t hear any differences.
