Series 1 rectoverb users your help please??

Basically my reverb stopped working my techs in florida for 2 weeks but I have a question about the reverb tank.
Where is it supposed to be mines inside the amp itself not mounted inside the head shell, I called mesa support and asked about troubleshooting and I talked to one guy who agreed that the tank was inside of the amp, but then I talked to another who said that it shouldnt be inside the amp so im confused, I took the amp out of the shell and all looked good to me but Im no tech lol.
So to recap im just trying to figure out if the reverb is supposed to be inside the amp itself or mounted outside of the amp in the head shell?
I basically want to replace the verb with the right unit where its supposed to go, but need to know where its supposed to go first?

Is this a combo?

My combo the tank is inside the box on the floor of the combo, inside the bag.

But after seeing your gear then its just a head. So inside the chassis.

Yup it is the head version, thanks for that link its weird how mesa didnt even know the answer lol.
Any ideas to what I can try to get the reverb up and running?
