seeking LSC/LSS speaker replacement recommendation

i've got a LSC in a LSS cabinet w/a C90 that seems blown: farting noises for heavy chords in the clean channel, even in the 50 watt setting.

Just wondering if anyone can suggest something other than the stock c90 that will still fit in the cabinet. i was looking at the new EV classic, but i'm thinking it may not fit.

i've tested against a 150w black shadow in an extention cab so i know it's not the amp itself.

i shoe-horned a 150w eminence black shadow into my LSC (LSS cab) & it sounds fine. it was a pretty tight fit though. The tone seems smoother now, less brittle and of course this speaker doesn't distort like the C90 did.
