Rush: Beyond the Lighted Stage

one of the best rock documentaries i've seen.
excellent.
even if you're only marginally a rush fan, it's still worth seeing.

commentary from a lot of folks..

Nick Raskulinecz, kevin shirley, Terry Brown , Rupert Hine, Richard Chycki, Peter Henderson, Peter Collins, Mick Box, Les Claypool, Jack Black, Billy Corgan, Trent Reznor, Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters), Kirk Hammett (Metallica) , Gene Simmons

I think I owe Gene Simmons a debt of grattitude.... Van Halen, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Guns N Roses and RUSH were all bands that KISS introduced to me.

That is 30 years of me getting into those bands and Rush was probably the biggest now that Maiden can't write anything but C D to E...

don't give Gene TOO much credit. those bands were going to break with or without him. especially van halen. anyone who played guitar like eddie did back in the 70's wasn't going to stay "unknown" for very long. gene just beat everyone to the punch!
