I'm in love with the modern sound of a Dual Rectifier head. I would be sold on the 3 Channel, and I hear the 2 channel is even better. I'm looking for a Fender Reverb type of clean sound. I wasn't able to get it from a DR, but I didn't spend a lot of time trying to find it either, since the distortion is what matters most to me. I've gotten a Roadster to reach that type of sound on Channel 1 Tweed, but it was a while back, and I don't remember the distortion channels enough to compare it to a standard Dual Rec.

Will a Roadster's distortion channels sound exactly like a 2 or 3 channel Dual Rectifier?

It's not going to be an exact clone of either. The roadster is a bit less fizzy than a 3ch. If you like the recto sound, you will definitely be more than pleased. I think they sound better than 3ch rectos.
