I'm days away from buying my first Mesa. It's a Roadster. I'd like to be over prepared and have multiple setting options. If you would all be so kind as to post different setting which many of you guys enjoy I'd love that. I want heavenly cleans. Great blues and jazz tones. Girthy rock tones. Righteous metal tones. Everything from Foo Fighters cleans and crunch to Lamb of God. Cheers.

Personally, I don't think it will be hard for you to dial in some great tones of your own. However, I've been hearing too many complaints about the Brit mode on channel 2. It's not that hard. Just crank the treble and gain on the mode, and you are almost there...

Congrats. I have a Roadster and love it. It's really easy to dial in sounds. But I think you'll have to do it on your own because your guitar and cabinet and room and volume level will influence how you have to set the knobs.

Some tips: Tweak your tone at the volume level you'll be using it. Don't try to craft the perfect loud gig tone at quiet bedroom levels.

Use the Diode for contemporary thumping rhythm sounds. Use the Recto Tracking to make old-school Tweed and Brit sounds more authentic. Recto Tracking can sound good on syrupy solo sounds, too.

You shouldn't need to use extreme knob positions. Start with the knobs near 12 noon (centered) and adjust them in small increments. Really listen to your adjustments by playing for a while. Sometimes a teeny adjustment doesn't make an instantly apparent difference. But when you play longer, you realize it did more to fix your problem than you may have initially thought. It's all about fine-tuning.

Vintage High Gain sounds better on Channel 3 than it does on Channel 4.

Modern High Gain sounds different on Channel 3 and 4.

thanks dudes. I'm confident I'll be able to dial in some sweet tones. I already have when I've played on different roadsters at GC before. Good to know about recto tracking and diode though. Cheers

Enjoy your new Roadster - congrats! It's super easy to dial in, especially compared to the Mark series Boogies.
