Roadster Owners: Have you tried yours with STR 425s?

I'm a a mark type of guy. Never developed a taste for dual rectifiers. But I had the opportunity to score a nice 1x12 roadster so I went for it. So I was doing a little house keeping and found a quartet of STR425. Read Boogie's description an decided to test them in the Roaster. Wow, what a nice surprise! The amp is more friendly, the top end is smoother and not as harsh as I originally found it to be (for my taste anyways). Yes the clean suffers a little loss of chime but it easily fixed with a bit more of presence and treble.

You should try it.

Meh....I got a sextet of Mesa str454 (wing c)....i like the Electro Harmonix and Chinese str440 better.
