Hey

I picked up a Mesa Roadster Head a couple of days ago. I've noticed the amp sounds 100x better when cranked so i'm considering buying an attenuator so I can drive the amp more and bring the volume down.

I'm looking at a THD Hotplate but i'm not sure which impedance to get it at. Which output on the back of the roadster head would you recomend using? or does it not really matter (tone wise I mean, my cabinet has a number of options for impedance).

cheers!

I personally would go for a 4 ohm or an 8 ohm. I suppose 8 ohms will give you a little more versatility, like if you change cabs or something. But if your cab supports 4 ohms, I'd recommend that. What kind of sound are you going for? Metal? Rock?
