Hi guys! Don't kill me if you already know this, just trying to help...!

Noob guide...

1- to avoid channel switching and tuner-mute pop, turn the amp on and let it sit on ch 3 for 5m or so, cycle through the ch's (3-2-4-1-3 || press the tuner mute switch one time) and be sure to select the ch 3 before turning stand-by on (playing position). When turning it off, leave it on ch 3 before you do and let it cool down a bit.
2- when you have pedals connected through the FX-loop be sure to adjust the level (in the back) to taste. Take notice that this can affect the overall volume and tone ... I set it at normal or a touch less. Always use short cables (10 feet in my case) for the FX chain... the amp takes them better this way.
3- this amp delivers an awesome liquid and fluid lead tone, believe me...! (this is an advise provided by somebody else in the forum but hell, it works like a charm!)... set the gain at 2:30 - 3:00, set the highs with the treble knob to taste but leave the presence at noon or less, bass (1:30-2:00) and mids (10:00) to taste. This is going to removed the dry-sticky-loose felling to it. I use bold-tube rec-ch 3 vintage-50w for sooner break-up and a 4x12... nothing to envy the mark series for me and NO pedals required!
4- if you are facing lag issues set the reverb knobs, on the back, off but leave the verb switch enable on the foot control. It is "normal" to experiment 1s or less switching ch's.

Hope this helps!

Alan.
