I posted these on another board yesterday. Both of these clips were from an SM58 dangling in front of the cab (yep....90 degrees off axis).

Not 'great' recordings due to the mic placement. Duh.
But both were done with my Roadster. The thing is SO versatile....
 
Nice clips! Definately shows some the range that the roadster has! I'm lovin' mine!

Could you post what you're using for equipment (besides the roadster) and what channel settings you used? I like to experiment with other people settings as well.

Micing like that aint all that uncommon, especially with a 58 or a 57 cause of proximity effect, you can run the amp louder without beating the **** outta the mic, and it reduces boominess and tightens the sound up on the recording.....

just my 2 cents on 90 degrees off axis.......
