Who has the roadster 112 or 212 and prefers it to the standard
recto 212?
Any reason other than size/weight?

Are you asking about the Recto Standard 2x12 (the oversized one)? Or Recto Traditional 2x12 (now called the Stiletto 2x12)?

I didn't know they had oversize and traditional 2x12s?!?
Whichever was the standard closed back recto 2x12 with v30s

"Oversized" is the standard Recto. The Recto Traditionals are similar to cabs. They renamed them Stiletto cabs a few years ago. The title just confused me since I wasn't sure which version you were asking about.

Either way I'm of no use as I've never used the Recto 2x12.

Well... I am slightly off of your requested information here... but I can tell you that I do play a Roadster and own both a Rectifier 2x12 and a Rectifier 4x12 and I MUCH prefer the combination of Roadster/2x12 than Roadster/4x12. In my experience, some of the modes on the Roadster really rely on being able to crank the bass above noon... which gets a bit flubby with the 4x12.

Hope that helps a bit.

so, on the cabs... there is no traditional recto 2x12... the stilleto 2x12 is 12+" whereas the recto 2x12 is 14.1/4"
the 4x12s have the 14.25" depth but the height is different which makes the traditional(now Stiletto) vs Rectifier difference

I'm interested in the Rectifier 2x12 which is closed back and 14 1/4 inches deep with V30s

I've heard the cab before, but only in GC, and with different amps...
I'm currently using an open back JDesign cab with Red Fangs at 4 ohms total... sounds really good, just thinking I'd like to try the recto cab...

I had the oversize recto 212 cab for about half a year then for some reason traded it. Recently I picked up the roadster 212 cab because I missed having the recto lol. Differences are small to my ears, I actually think they don't sound too far off. I also like it because I use it with my Rect-o-Verb combo and appearance-wise they are almost made for each other. AFAIK they both use same speakers same materials it's just a size difference which apparently gives better low end or something.
