Roadking MKII Midi switch mode toggle switches

Have searched through the board but have not found an answer

I have a Roadking MKII V1
I would like to choose the 3 dip-switch options through midi for each channel
Has anyone done this, are there issues, am I mad?

I have a engineer who can do pretty much as i ask but has no knowledge of the potential implications
What i am thinking is the front panel operates as normal unless TRS is inserted for each option
I have a Rocktron all access/patchmate/GCX system that i would like to use to access deeper options on the fly

anyone done this, advice or just ridicule...
