RoadKing head question-problem

Hey,
I just bought a used RK 1. I'm having some problems right now with it. Channels 3 and 4 sometime cut out. I can still the guitar, but very faintly. After some time both channels are good again.
Also, I 'm wondering if this is normal or not. Both 5U4 lights on the front panle of the head are continually on. If I swith to diode mode, they will remain on. I tried switching the progressive linkage on all channels, but it has no effect on the tow 5U4 led's. Any idea?

try a short jumper cable in the effects loop and see if that solves the volume loss problem

I'll try that. I do have a G-System in the effect loop. I'll try removing it. If it is that, what steps should I try to resolve this? Bad tube I guess.

Check V3 & V4's tubes. Avoid Sovtek (Mesa "Russian-1"), Electro-Harmonix (Mesa "Russian-2"), Tung-Sol reissue, & Mullard reissue in those positions.

Thanks for the info. I'll try that tonight. I forgot to mention that the problem only occurs when the amp has been played for a while. After about 1/2 hour I start getting the problem. Then it's an on and off thing. Channels 1 and 2 are nor affected at all.
