I have been a huge fan of the MC-90 speaker for the last 15 years. I have had them in almost every amp I have owned in that time.
Recently, I experimented with a Celestion GT12-75 and realized that the MC-90 has a top end fizz that I am starting to dislike.
I tried the 75 in a Rectoverb combo. It killed all sparkle in the clean channel, but made the lead channel come to life.
I just picked up an RK1 combo. It weighs slightly under a metric ton, but has so many features that I won't be getting bored anytime in the near future.
I am thinking that I would like to replace the stock MC-90 speakers with Eminence speakers to get rid of the fizz.
I'm looking at the neodymium speakers.
Has anyone here tried them?
I would like to go with a Tonkerlite and a Lil Texas. I figure that way my cleans and distortion tones will have the best of both worlds.
 Plus, it will shave off about 14-15 pounds......
What do you guys think?
