Hi guys,

I'm the proud owner of a Mesa Boogie Road King series II since a couple of hours. Now, I have a little problem with adjusting the loops. When I bypass the FX loops on the rear panel I get sound out of the RK, but when I switch them out of the bypass it stays quiet. Output and Solo are at 9 o'clock and on every channel Loop 1 and 2 are switched on. Can anyone help me please?

Thanks in advance.

The situation has changed a bit:

When the switch of engagement of loops is set to BYPASS, I get the pure Mesa sound out of all of the channels. Now my problem is the following:

I need to use the output/solo volume knobs and an effect loop, so I engaged the switch at the rear panel, but on all of the 4 channels I've set the loop switches (1 and 2) to off, so that I can activate them with the footswitch when I need them. But the volume is MUCH lower and the amp sounds weird (the clean channels sound muddy). I have to set my output volume to 3 o'clock and the four masters to 5 o'clock to get the same volume as when the loops are bypassed. The send level knob is set to 12 o'clock.

Can anyone tell me if this is a failure? It's a brand new amp, 2 days old. He sounds great when I bypass the loops but when I engage them it kinda sucks.

Thanks in advance..

PS: never had any trouble on this with my triple rectifier, but the RK needs some time to get used to for me.
