Chan 2 has the British mode. Is this supposed to be British as in Marshall or as in Vox ? It sounds vox-like to me.

I have wrestled a bit with channels 3 and 4, but I cannot say enough good about channels 1 and 2. Two months later I am still in love.

yeah, stoked with channels 1 and 2 but still struggling slightly with 3 and 4. still working on it - got my first live show this weekend with my roadster so we'll see how it goes!

Well I do two things with channel 3 and 4:
-run a tube screamer like pedal in front with just a little gain to tighten up the bottom
-I use two attenuators, one on each output. Once I give it some volume, it thickens up and is not so trebly / raspy.

Like LACTOSE, I use an OD in front of the amp for channels 3 & 4 -- although I prefer my BB Preamp over the Tube Screamer. The BB is clearer sounding and can be Eq'd more to your liking by the inclusion of Bass & Treble controls.
