For those who have used the footswitch on their road king for channel switching, is there any kind of popping sound or volume drop out when switching channels?

I was watching a Foo Fighters interview on Mesa's site and the lead singer said he got rid of his old setup (a dual rec for distortion and an AC30 for cleans) and now uses a Road King exclusively for both cleans and dirty. I was wondering how this was possible if there are audible pops and volume drops when channel switching on this amp.

For what it's worth. None of the FF play with Mesa amps anymore. Dave is playing a Fender Custom ToneMaster 100W half stack, and Chris is using a Friedman 100W half stack of some flavor, and his AC30 with Alnico Blues. Dave also still ALWAYS had an AC30 for cleans, even when he was rocking the RoadKing, he still had his AC30. As currently proven now, they can, and do, get the tones they are looking for from anything.

The ONLY time they were ever ALL Mesa on stage was when doing a Late Night show, or something like that.

There are ways around popping (read sticky) and volume drops (channel balancing), that I'm sure most of us and most sound techs should get around!
