I've been using the 2x6L6 + 2xEL34 combination of power tubes on my RK for almost a year now, and I don't know where I'd be without it!
I absolutely love the low-end smooth thickness from the 6L6 combined with the high-end sizzle and urgency of the EL34's. I always run this combination in Spongy mode to air-out the sound and to replace some of that "recto crunch" with more of a focused vintage sag. For channels 3 and 4, my gain is almost always between 2:00 and 3:00, and the mode is usually vintage (sometimes it is Raw).
