SO, according to Mesa's website, the Recto Pre has channels from the Road King, correct?

I am loving the recto Preamp, and would love to have four channels that sound like this unit (2 clean, 2 dirty).

This is basically describing the Road King II, correct?

My brother has a Road King I, but for some reason I don't get along with it. Would the road king Series 2 be much different? Any own both the Recto Pre and a Road King?

RKii has massively improved cleans (as well as other improvements) over the 1 -- I'm in love with mine if you read my other posts on the subject. I've had one for a while now and would not consider anything else (and I've tried quite a few amps!)

Very sensitive to how they're dialled like most recs - but experiment with the different modes and there's bound to be tones in there you love

It's tbe most versatile amp I've owned
