Road King 1

I just inherited a Road King version 1. I have the original owner's manual and have also looked at Mesa's site to see if there was an updated version of the manual, but what's online looks the same as what I already have. What I am curious about is the function/layout for the tubes. For version 2, there are 6 preamp tubes, but version 1 only has 5. So....if anyone has better info, I would appreciate letting me in on the specs! :wink:

In case anyone else has the same question, I received an answer from Mesa:
V1-A input stage for all channels
V1-B 2nd gain stage for channels 1 & 2

V2-A 1st gain stage for all channels
V2-B 1st gain stage for channels 3 & 4

V3-A 2nd gain stage for channels 3& 4
V3-B 3rd gain stage for channels 3 & 4

V4-A effects loop send stage
V4-B effects loop return stage

V5-A & B phase inverter/ driver tube
