RK FOOTSWITCH ISSUES

I finally got my RK footswitch but when its plugged into the amp (even if I keep the selector on channel 1-not on footswitch), it reduces a full clean tone into a trebly wine.

Putting the selector on footswitch, with reverb engaged, the amp sounds fine. Buit when you disengage the reverb, the amps loses about 1/4 of its volume and turns into trebly wine.

Without the footswitch plugged in, the amp works fine.

Any ideas?

Are you using the correct cable, or an after market cable? If it's not a mesa cable, you may try a mesa cable.
