As nobody really knows what happened the theory has the 3 options murder, suicide or an accident.
YouTube has some crazy remade videos about Jimi being held down and one of Mike Jeffery’s employees has now come forward with a book saying Mike confessed it to him.
Let's dive into the facts a bit:
Oh that murder ****. Up to the Isle of Wight gig in 1970 Jimi was busy recording what became the cry of love album now the first rays of the new rising sun. Before flying to UK he had left the Electric lady studio grand opening (his own studio). He had a talk with his manager before leaving that night to go to the airport with his guitar roadie Eric Barret. What Jimi wanted to do was to finish up the album as he had not put anything out since the Band of Gypsies which was a contract fulfillment rather than any Experience albums.
No Jimi had to go making money for his manager on this final European tour most likely to pay for the cost of building the studio. Electric lady was expensive and Mike just booked gig after gig for the money.
So Jimi and Eric fly to London. Fell asleep 1-2 hours before landing in UK. A lot of press were waiting and a lot of interviews meant that Jimi did not get much sleep or time to rehearse before the Isle of Wight. The tour goes on and Billy Cox get's spiked somewhere along the way with some sort of drug which causes the band to suddenly be in London UK as Billy had to fly home to recover. Plan to murder someone when things just happens like this?
Jimi books into the Cumberland hotel which he uses as main address up to his final night but as he always wanted peace and quiet which was rare for him, he lived with Monika Danneman in Nothing Hill. The question is if anybody knew this at the time. Neither his drummer nor road manager Gerry had any clue.
There were a lot of people and issues that Jimi had to deal with. One was the Chalpin court case (Band of gypsies) for UK and the usual drug/hangers on crowd that followed Jimi. He was getting close to get rid of his manager Mike and instructed Allan Douglas to do so as he followed him to the airport.
The final night Jimi left a party at 3 AM. Monika picked him up and drove to Nothing Hill in her car. Jimi was a bit high having taken a black bomber drug at the party and due his abnormal consumption he could take more than most people. This meant were some people take 2-3 pills Jimi would take way more just to sleep. Monika had the Vesparax as she had had a skating accident.
Jimi takes 9 pills of the Vesparax which were very strong and he was simply not aware how much. My theory on what the pills did was to make him very sick. As for Monika maybe she went for a walk or something and Jimi was alone as she saw vomit coming out of his mouth. In light panic she poured red wine down his lungs in order to clear the airway but instead Jimi drowned. So it’s around 3-6 am and Jimi is dead so Monika start calling Eric Burdon and finally at 11.18 the ambulance is there but it’s too late. I also question were Monika were as the flat only had the dead body of Jimi when the paramedics came by. My guess is she was with Eric Burdon and they simply called from a safe distance to keep Monika safe from questions.
It is the most likely thing as Eric Burdon helped clean up the flat and took Monika with him afterwards.
As for suicide Jimi had too much to live for and about to break from his manager Mike for good. It was accidental thanks to the Vesparax and Monika. She was too much in panic to call the ambulance in the morning when she should have.

If you go to his grave and look north the house with the big widow is where I lived for a few years in the late 80's.
His Father used to eat at the Skyway Bowling Alley as a regular .... I have eaten and talked with him many times
His brother anouced my band when I opened for Robin Trower.
His nephew was a very good friend of mine. He had some of his old cloths ..... I was never able to get him to sell me any of that stuff.
Personally I do not do the death day stuff. Birthdays sometimes
