Hello Mesa Pros,
I'm owning a Mark III Bluestripe and my question is about the Reverb and the use of a Footswitch. As I understand from the manual, you first dial in the reverb at the amp. Then, you have a "good background", lets say you dial in about 5, so you get a good amount of reverb. Then, following the instructions in the manual, when you step on the footswitch, you get a "fully drenched reverb for a special effect". This in my understanding means that with just connecting the footswitch the Reverb stays at 5 and as you step on the footswitch the reverb should be like a 10 dialled in ("fully drenched").
I'm not using the original footswitch, but a simple switch which just closes the circuit via a stereo plug (For EQ and REVERB). And my experience is that with connecting the footswitch I first have no Reverb at all, and then with stepping on the switch I get the amount of reverb dialled in at the amp.
Is the original footswitch doing something special here? Or am I misunderstanding the manual?
Thx a lot!
