Hello everyone,

I wanted to know if you can switch channels on a Mark 25 by a relay switch instead of the included footswitch pedal?

The user guide says stereo cable to control both channel and eq... but, can it be used with a regular 1/4 inch cable on to a pedal switcher relay input?

Thanks in advance

Don't know if this helps, but:

I've setup my Mark V:25 to independently switch both the channel and EQ via the relays in the following units: TC Electronic G-major and G-Major II, Mesa TriAxis, Voodoo Lab Audio Switcher, Boss GT-10 and GT-10B, and a Behringer FCB1010.

It is a stereo TRS input, so a mono cable will not switch both the EQ and channel. I typically use a TRS cable or an insert cable.

Hi Icarusuki, thank you for your response.

If is not too much to ask from you, can you share how are you doing it with the boss gt-10?

I have a gt-100 but I haven't made any attempts, mainly because I'm afraid I'll damage something.

Are you using an insert cable going from the Mark V 25, to the AMP CTL and SUB CTL on the GT-10?

Thanks in advance

I believe the GT100 is similar to the GT10, in that their Amp Control relay jacks are not stereo. Meaning they will only control the channel, and not the EQ. You could custom wire a cable to do just the EQ, but I doubt that would be desirable.

You can connect the Amp Control jack to the Mark V:25 footswitch jack with a standard speaker/instrument cable. Then set the amp control jack in the GT100 per preset, and/or assign it to one of the CTL switches to toggle the channel.

I used the GT10 with the 4 cable method (5, if you include the amp control :)

Guitar > GT10 input
GT10 Send > Mark V:25 Input
Mark V:25 send > GT10 Return
GT10 out > Mark V:25 Return
GT10 Amp Control > Mark V:25 Footswitch

Make sure to enable the S/R (Send/Receive module in the GT unit.)
