Hello,

First time post and first time Mesa owner . Love the thing

I've had my rectro verb 25 now for two weeks. Everything worked great until tonight.

On channel 1 , the wattage switch has no effect. Meaning it doesn't change volume from 25 to 10 watts . Channel 2 there is no problem at all.

I was kind of thinking bad power tube . Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to The Board.

If Ch 2 is working fine then I doubt it is a powertube.

How high is your Ch 1 master? Maybe you are just out of headroom and it's hard to hear the volume increase.

Have you called Mesa?

Hello kdrl35!

I doubt that the amp is out of headroom. The problem could be the actual switch or one or more of the small relays inside the amp.

Thanks guys for replying. I took it in to the shop and had them test it beside another rectroverb. I had volume drop on channel one and my reverb wasn't working. The shop sent it out and gave me a rectroverb to use while mine is getting fixed. See this is why I hate buying off the shop floor lol
