I have an original series one Rectoverb. The verb was working great up til about a few weeks ago when my footswitch shorted out. Now the reverbs off and will not re-engage. Any ideas? I checked the cables, the connections, the tank itself and all seem to be fine. What else could it possibly be? and with the original footswitch out of commission, Im not sure what to do.

is it tube driven? if so check your preamp tube (probably V4)... if the dome is white your tube is dead and you'll need to replace it.

I can't remember if I needed the footswitch to control the reverb or not. Maybe your footswitch is bad. Is there a local Mesa Dealer close by that you can run it up and try a new footswitch?
