I have a 2x12 Roadster Cab I use with my Ace combo.

I was thinking about getting the Rectoverb II and wondered how it would do with the cab as I wanted to go lighter. Since the combo comes with a 3/4 back, what do people use in the head/cab set-up use?

I run anywhere from one Genz-Benz Gflex 2x12 cab to two vintage Ampeg V4 4x12's with my rectoverb head. One v4 has a combo of Vintage 30s and Greenbacks, the other Eminence Legend M12s.
The G-flex sounds huge with lots of bottom end (but no mud). It lacks a little in volume compared to the 412 cabs, but that's not really a problem.
I rarely use the full stack (mostly just for goofing off in the practice studio). The Eminences sound clean and bright ... great for the clean channel (very Fender-like) or for really biting high end on high gain settings. The Celestions of course give me the British speaker breakup tone and are pretty much my all-around standby.
