Rectoverb effects loop feedback

hey everyone, i've had my rectoverb series 2 combo for about a year, and everytime i try to run my effects (spefically delay pedal) in the effects loop instead of in front of the amp, i get a weird continuingly building oscillation sound until i turn the pedal off and stop playing for a second. the pedal doesnt do this with any other amp i have tried it with. does anyone else have this problem and can it be fixed?

Look at the manual. There should be a tube chart near the back. It should be V4.

Replace the tube and try it again. If this doesn't work, you might have to take it in to get looked at. The loop on my ROV II was perfectly quiet.

Does your delay pedal have an output knob? I'd also look at turning that down a bit and changing the effect sound through the fx knob on the back.
