Hey guys, Im currently running a Dual rectifier and also a Mini for the smaller gigs. Ive recently been digging the sound of the EH "Big muff" (yes i still laugh at the name) as a nice warm rythym tone. Im wondering if any of you have used it with a rectifier before and if so how did it sound?
In particular ill be using it on the gain channel as sort of a low end boost but also to boost the gain and add some of that fuzz feel to bring the amp over the top to accentuate parts within songs. Have any of you tried this? Does adding it to an already overdriven amp still let that fuzz tone and feel come thru or was it just over the top noise? I dont want to have to switch to the clean channel to turn it on as the song changes are too quick for that but i also dont want it on all the time as my overdrive sound as the fuzz wont lend itself well to trem picked rythyms.
As there arent any good youtube demos of it on an overdriven amp i thought id ask here.
I know this might be a bit complicated to answer but any info is much appreciated!
