Recommended tubes

I just got a Triple rectifier and everything is sounding dead on it. The new head I played at guitar center sounded so much better, so I'm thinking maybe changing the tubes will help. Any recommended tubes for a hard rock sound (Mark tremonti-like)? It has JJ 6L6 gc right now.

I put the JJ's in my Triple with good results (ECC83S hi-gain pre's, 6L6GC power, GZ34 rectifiers). The SED 6L6's work well in these amps also. A few here seem to be having good luck with a mix of Tung-Sol, JJ, and 9th gen Chinese in the preamp. www.eurotubes.com www.dougstubes.com

You could look into tubes of the New-Old-Stock variety as well. They tend to sound better and last longer, but be prepared to get your wallet out. www.kcanostubes.com

check out eurotubes.com and look for full-retube kits. This has breathed new life into my amps (mark iv & nomad).
