received my Mark V 25 today

Wow killer amp still trying to tweak it all out so far mark IV is my favorite. this damn thing is loud can't wait to crank it and see how it sings. Glad i chose this over the Mini Rec. Not completely happy with the marshall cabs with it may have to order a recto 2x12. What are you guys using for cabs. i play classic rock to metal to blues in my cover band.

Congrats! I am receiving mine tomorrow. This is actually my 2nd Mark V 25 head. I used a 1x12 slant cab with the first head, but that was almost 2 years ago and I remember feeling like the Mark V 25 through the slant 1x12 was rather bright. I remember wanting more low end. I am considering getting either a 1x12 Widebody closed back or a 1x12 Lonestar 23 cab. I will probably end up with the Lonestar cab.

That said, I think the 1x12 slant cab looks the best with the Mark V 25, so I don't think you can go wrong with any option.

Loving my 5:25 with the 1x12 slant. However I do have a 2x12 recto cab I should connect up. Actually I have two of those. Seems like that could be fun. Unfortunately I've been too lazy to drag the 2x12 over to the amp so I can't say how it compares to the 1x12. The 1x12 sounds great though.
