Hey all,

Home mix of an original tune--still slightly under construction. All tracks are DI from my Rec Pre into Sonar.

There's one brief clean tone towards the end that has delay and phase, and one overdriven tone with a crazy amount of digital reverb. Other than that the only effect on here is EQ. Not much showing off, chops-wise-- it's not that kind of project.

hmmm..i got some mixed feelings...

The guitar sounds a little bit like there's a blanket on it, but it could be the tone you were after for this song. It works well in some parts, but not so much in others. I really like the middle section. That was nice playing!! The singer sounds a bit off tune in some parts as well. Overall it's not bad though!

yeah, i want the weird reverb drone track and/or vocals to have the upper midrange more or less to themselves in places, so I am still tweaking the rhythm guitars. I was going for more stoner-y tones on the leads so it's definitely on sludgy side of things. many thanks for the input, fresh ears are awesome.

lol, the singer's me. He's not great but I can't fire him . those are scratch vocal tracks, basically one shot each. the final ones will (hopefully) be better.

I have a confession on the middle part-- it's not always immediately obvious but it's actually two very simple parts played on separate tracks. The hardest part was getting the timing right between the two, because there's some little grooves happening at various times. glad you liked it!
