Hi all:

I really prefer grab-and-go amp setups like combos and such. I love the sound of Rectifiers but can't deal with a 4X12 or really even a 2X12. The Roadsters I think at least use to come in a 1x12 combo, but the cab was the same size as the 2x12. And I'm not really interested in a Rectoverb.

I'm thinking of picking up a Ractifier and a Thiele cab. Anyone have experience with this setup? It's common with the Marks and sounds cool, but I haven't heard much about people using Rectos with that cab.

Thanks, guys. Any other suggestions for a compact, grab-and-go Recto tone would be great, too.

The widebody Thiele sounds good with a Recto, although it produces a more scooped sound than the Recto 2x12.

This is exactly it. The thiele really enhances lows and highs, as well as clarity in the tone. I'd also say it isn't as 'thumpy' sounding because of the front vent. Thieles sound much larger than they are and it is great, provided it is what you are going for! Personally, I found my Mills Copy 2 x 12 to be about the best 'smaller sized' rig I have heard so far but it isn't exactly 'grab and go' territory yet.

They sound cool with a recto but they dont have that punch a rear loaded 412 has
