The second clip sounds amazingly close to the original recordings. I am not surprised considering its is pretty much the same amp the EVH used on his first couple of records. Also, there are some spot on delays and reverbs which I suspect were added post production. As far as I can tell, the RA100 demo was using the live effects advertised. Also, for some reason, the RA100 demo was not playing the exact VH tunes, but was playing more "in the style of" VH. As stated above, the speaker selection undoubtedly played a part. IMHO, the tones on the RA100 were more than "in the ballpark" to EVH, but not so much as the second clip.
