Quick question on the Thiele cab sold now.

I'm pretty sure that they do not ship the EV speaker with new Boogie Thiele cabs anymore - does the speaker that is now the standard for that cab sound as good as the EV? I've read that the Thiele cab was specifically designed for the EV speaker, what does not using the EV do to the response and sound of that cab now? Any thoughts? I hope this is the right place for this question - I put it here because the Thiele seems to be a popular extension cab for the mark series combo's and heads...

I would guess that many would say the old EV was better, but probably not everyone agrees. The old EV is very heavy, very expensive, etc. You can always buy a Thiele cab, try it, buy an EV or copy, try that, and decide.

When you ask about speakers, 90% of it is half mental, I mean personal preference. 8)
