Question on serial # for Subway Rocket

Hello, The serial number on my Subway Rocket is SR-00737X. The X is like hand entered with a pen, so it is more of an impression with ink on the aluminum serial number plate?

Anyone know if this was factory protocol in some instances or what it might mean?

Can anyone tell me the approximate date of manufacture from this info?

had one, loved it, sold it. Call mesa with the serial number. Post in the Modern Amp section and someone might have more info.
