I've got a custom 2x12 Recto cabinet that I - thinking back on it - mistakenly ordered with two 8 ohm V30s wired for mono/stereo. I'm planning on swapping them out with two 16 ohm V30s and rewiring the cabinet back to 8 ohm mono. The two original V30s will go in a set of Bogner 1x12 Cubes from which I'll get the 16 ohm V30s. The intention is for this cabinet to be the center speaker for a wet/dry/wet setup as well as an extension for small gigs when I run in mono.

Now this is all really simple, but my question is this. The cabinet was custom ordered with the now discontinued pewter grille cloth; does anyone know if can I swap out the speakers from the rear panel without having to remove the grille cloth?

I posted a question asking how the grill cloth was attached to the cabinet...

...and was told that it was attached to a frame that bolted to the speaker baffle board. If that's the case then I would think that you could remove the frame and swap out your speakers pretty easily.
