has anyone ever used the studio pre with a solidstate poweramp?
i would rather have a tube poweramp but just bought the preamp and money is tight.i do have a all tube head i can run it through. how much difference in tone is there between running it both ways . thanks if anyone can help with comments.

yea i read that and i heard his tech had alot of trouble blowing up the poweramps with it and it said he was using crowns, and they finally found one that worked good a crest amp.

do you know if its ok 2 use the recording outs into a poweramp, the manual says not to

I'm honestly not sure. I think they are simply voiced differently and it's simply a suggestion that you do not use the rec outs into a poweramp because it (in theory) wouldn't sound as nice as the main outs.

I used to use mine with a SS Peavey MKVIII bass head and it sounded great, real similar to Tommy Victor from Prongs tone on Cleansing.
