Hi everyone,

This has been on my mind for a while. I have a Sansamp GT2 pedal that I like to flip on once in a while to add some extra gain to my tone on channel 2 and 3. The only problem is that when I'm not playing anything there is a massive amount of feedback and I'm hearing very weird noises coming from the amp...could I be destroying the tubes in any way by having this pedal activated? I'd like to get the most amount of play time with my tubes and not be killing them!

You're probably just hearing oscillations and feedback from the extra gain stages and transistors in the pedal. It's nothing to worry about and shouldn't have any effect of the life of the tubes.
