A friend of mine told me that the lead 1 is better than lead 2. But if you pull the volume pots to get much distortion than you can't have a clean channel, because you've pulled the volume pot. Is it possible?
Thanks

I prefer LD 1 for leads and LD 2 for my rhythms. LD 1 is just smooth 8) Now I have everything pulled. I think it all depends on how high you run the volume knobs, not on whats pulled. I run my volumes pretty high and I get a very very slight break up on R1, I just roll back the volume knob on my guitar a bit and I'm in clean city.

Lead 1 is quite sweet :) The way I've got mine set up (though I've just been farting around, just busted out the Quad after a couple years of not using it) is similar to Matt: Rhy 1 stays nice and clean with Vol up pretty high, but YMMV (I'm thinking particularly with much hotter pickups, you might have to coax a little less volume out of CH1 to keep Rhy 1 from breaking up) It does seem to have fairly little to do with what's pulled though.

When it comes down to it though this is one of the things that keeps the Quad from perfection. Lead 2 is still pretty too though :)
